Creating Functionality & Utility Where It’s Needed Most, Outdoors… on the 27th floor.
In a 2 year long process, TW2M designed, built and installed the first functional and smart pergola on the 26th floor in Manhattan, NY.
In Collaboration with CookFox, CMA and Laufs Engineering we were able to design and install a wind resistant pergola, by Renson, that can be used all year round.
Engineered to handle hurricane force winds, the pergola is also smart and adaptable. The unit is programed to close and open its louvers and shades dependant on the weather, wind speed and rain.
Drawing on inspiration from the elegance and materials found in the art and architecture of early 20th Century Paris,
the refined the building is developed to incorporate 57 gracious layouts within a tailored, high-performance design.
This Spectacular full floor Penthouse with a perfectly positioned 515 square foot south facing terrace with stunning 360 degree skyline and river views on the 27th floor needed a final touch to make the terrace more comfortable and usable for our client.
