A room fit for a future roboticist, in an Emery Roth Building, with many hidden features.
This custom bedroom for a 16 year old future roboticist in a charming 5 bedroom 4 bathroom duplex in the upper west side’s Normandy building.
Our design intent was to create a scandinavian inspired room with clean lines and hidden features throughout, while maintaining a clutter free environment
To maintain a clutter free environment in the room, we designed a murphy bed. The front of the murphy bed was designed to match the closet and further hide its location. The Bedroom includes a Murphy Bed, Soldering Station, 3D Printing Stations, Work Station, Custom Closet and a Work-In-Bed Station.

Work-In-Bed Station.
For our future roboticist, we designed and built a pull out soldering station with an anti-static surface. We also created a pull out cabinet under the 3D printer for better access to wiring as well as a pull out desk that allows him to use a work surface while in bed.
Other features of the room include a seating area with a Keith Haring Skateboard Art piece, A custom closet and ample storage throughout.
