Rowayton Ottoman

Simplicity

Commissioned to fulfill a specific brief for clean geometry, this custom ottoman relies entirely on proportional balance. The design utilizes a six-leg configuration to distribute weight across a lengthened frame, establishing a low, architectural profile. By eliminating all decorative hardware, welts, and tufting, the piece functions as a clean, multi-directional seating element suited for minimalist residential interiors or high-traffic commercial lounges.

White Oak + Leather

Because the form is strictly minimalist, fabrication required absolute precision in joinery and material selection. The base is milled from rift-cut white oak, chosen for its structural stability and dense grain. It is paired with a single, unvaried full grain cowhide from Rose Tarlow, tightly upholstered to maintain a flat, level surface. Over time, the natural leather will surface-age and darken, creating a subtle contrast against the permanence of the timber frame.
